Dragon Fantasy

CT for Mystical Scraps. PTU tutorial using CC Designs FleurdelisFairy scrap kit. It's perfect for fantasy, mystical tags.

The creation of this tutorial is my own any resemblance to any other tutorial is strictly a coincidence.
Do not copy this tutorial or claim it as your own. If you would like to share it, please share the link to my blog ONLY.
This tutorial was written using Adobe Photoshop CS5 and is for those with a working knowledge of Photoshop. This tutorial can be adapted for anyone with a working knowledge of PSP.

Before we start, I would like to remind you to save frequently. This is in case your program closes on you as mine is known to do. J  I save as a .psd file. This keeps your elements in layers instead of merging everything the way a .png file does. I also do not say copy and paste your element onto your canvas. In Photoshop, it is possible to drag and drop. But if you are more comfortable copying and pasting, then by all means do what is easier for you. I use a white background while I’m making my tag but I delete it when I am finished.

Supplies needed:

I used FleurdelisFairy scrap kit by CC Designs. You can find where to buy here at Mystical Scraps.

I’m using the cookie poser from Medi that came with the kit.

Mask: Mask 16 by Horseplay’s Pasture, you can find it here. The links are on the left of her page. Remember to say thank you when you download.

Font used is called Cookie. You can use any font you want though.

Open a canvas 550x550.

Create your mask using paper 3. Place to your liking on your canvas. Lower opacity to 73%.

Frame 2: Reduce 82.9%. Place to your liking on your canvas.

Paper 7: Place behind Frame2. Reduce to fit the outside of your frame. Activate your frame. Take your magic wand and click inside the frame. Go to Select/Modify/Expand. Expand by 5 pixels. Click okay. Select/Inverse. Now activate your paper and hit delete.

E1: Reduce 23.3%. Place midway on the left side of your frame. Duplicate and place on the opposite side of the frame.

Grass1: Reduce 73.2%. Place at the bottom of your canvas to your liking. I have mine off the canvas on the right side.

Tree2: Reduce 25.0%. Place towards the bottom and close to the middle of your canvas. Add a drop shadow. Duplicate. Place on the left side of your canvas, to your liking.

MushroomHome1: Reduce 25.9%. Place on the right of your canvas next to the tree. Add a drop shadow.

Flowers3: Reduce 55.0%. Rotate –66.6. Place across the frame, the top of the element touching the top of the frame on the right side. Add a drop shadow. Duplicate. Reduce 43.3%. Rotate 5.8. Place on the left side of your frame.

Tree1: Reduce 65.6%. Place towards the right side of your canvas, to your liking. Add a drop shadow.

Bubbles1: Reduce 36.4%. Place over Flowers3 or to your liking. Duplicate and flip horizontally. Place in the upper left corner of your canvas. Duplicate again. Place over the tree on the left side of your canvas or to your liking.

Dragon2: Reduce 35.5%. Place in the upper left corner of your canvas. Add a drop shadow.

Go back to Element1. Duplicate and place to the right of the dragon.

Castle1: Reduce 61.5%. Place on the left side of your canvas to your liking. Add a drop shadow.

Grass1: Reduce 29.7%. Place on the left side in front of the castle or to your liking. Duplicate and place in front of the Mushroom House.

Bug5: Reduce 16.3%. Place on the left side of the castle to your liking. Add a drop shadow.

Flowers4: Reduce 12.6%. Place on the right of the castle to your liking. Add a drop shadow.

Flowers5: Reduce 5.5%. Place near the Mushroom House. Add a drop shadow.

Mushroom1: Reduce 11.4%. Place towards the bottom of the canvas in front of the Mushroom House. Add a drop shadow. Duplicate. Flip horizontally. Reduce 78.0%. Place in front of the first mushroom to your liking. Duplicate. Flip horizontally and place to the right of the second mushroom.

Flowers7: Reduce 12.9%. Rotate 14.9. Place at the bottom of your canvas in front of the castle. Add a drop shadow.

Frog1: Flip horizontally. Reduce 31.9%.  Place in the lower left corner of your canvas. Add a drop shadow.

I used medi_fleurdelis2. Resize to your liking. Place to your liking on the canvas. Add a drop shadow.

Butterfly2: Reduce 10.5%. Place near her outstretched hand or to your liking. Add a drop shadow.

Type the name. The color settings are 530808.  Size 58 points. After you type in your name, go to your blending options.
Check Drop Shadow using the default settings.
Check Stroke size 1, color is FFFFFF. Click okay and place the name on the top right of your canvas.

Add your license and your watermark making sure they are legible.

Delete the white background and save as a .png file.

I hope this tutorial was easy to follow. Again, you do not have to follow this step by step. Add your own touch to it. I would love to see your results if you do this tutorial.
